Day 1: Monday 11th February 2019
You fly from London to Tampa Bay via a US Hub airport before transferring to your hotel.

Day 2: Tuesday 12th February 2019
We spend the majority of the day visiting Honeymoon Island exploring the causeway in the morning and evening with a visit to Honeymoon Island State Recreation Park to see nesting ospreys and other birds. If time permits, we may travel across town to a wood stork colony situated on the eastern side of Tampa.

Day 3: Wednesday 13th February 2019
We make an early start for Fort De Soto Country Park where we photograph along the shorelines and lagoons. This will give us opportunities to capture a variety of waders and other birds. In the afternoon we head south to Venice and make an evening visit to the famous Venice Rookery as the birds return to their roosts.

Day 4: Thursday 14th February 2019
We make a dawn start for the Venice Rookery capturing the early light before breakfast. Later we return to enjoy the rest of the morning at the Rookery. In the afternoon we head south to Fort Myers via Cape Coral and detour to visit some burrowing owl and bald eagle locations.

Day 5: Friday 15th February 2019
We spend the day on Sanibel with a visit to the J.N. Ding Darling Nature Reserve. We spend the morning and the afternoon following the park road stopping off for any photographic opportunity we may locate. Dependent on time we may, on our return, enjoy the evening light on the causeway.

Day 6: Saturday 16th February 2019
In the morning we head into Cape Coral to see the burrowing owls and visit some bald eagle sites. In the afternoon we head to Fort Myers Beach and spend the afternoon visiting Lovers Key looking for the ospreys and shore birds in evening light.

Day 7: Sunday 17th February 2019
In the morning we head south to Florida City. Our journey takes us into Big Cypress and we stop to photograph where we can along the way. A small detour takes us along part of the loop road near Chatham to photograph at a small river teaming with wildlife. If time permits, we may stop for an Airboat ride.

Day 8: Monday 18th February 2019
We have all day to spend in the Everglades National Park. Before breakfast we will drive to the Anhinga Trail for the early light. In the afternoon we will head south to Flamingo stopping at Marzek Pond Eco Pond and other locations. These are good location for waders, ospreys and roseate spoonbills.

Day 9: Tuesday 19th February 2019
Dependent upon condition we will make an early visit to the Anhinga Trail or drive direct to Loxahatchee Wetlands. Later in the day we drive to Lantana where we’ll check into our motel before an afternoon spent photographing at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

Day 10: Wednesday 20th February 2019
We spend the day visiting the nearby reserves of Wakodahatchee Wetlands and Green Cay Wetlands & Nature Centre. These fairly new locations offer a fantastic opportunity to get close to a whole range of birds including Bittern, Limpkin and Sora Rail. In the evening light the nesting great egrets offer some fantastic photographic opportunities.

Day 11: Thursday 21st February 2019
We spend the day visiting the nearby reserves of Wakodahatchee Wetlands and Green Cay Wetlands & Nature Centre.

Day 12: Friday 22nd February 2019
We make an early morning departure south to Fort Lauderdale Airport for our return journey to London. This will be via one of the major US hubs such as Houston, Chicago or Washington.

Our overnight flight from Fort Lauderdale sees us arrive in London early the following day.
