Iceland Spring
Sunday 8th – Wednesday 18th May 2022

Day 1: Sunday 8th May 2022
We fly from London to Keflavik and transfer to our hotel in on the Snaefellsnes Peninsular, a distance of 225 kms.

Day 2: Monday 9th May 2022
In the morning we drive west to Kirkjufell allowing time to photograph the waterfall and the mountain. We then head west to explore around the Snaefellsnes Peninsular returning to photograph Kirkjufell in the evening.

Day 3: Tuesday 10th May 2022
In the morning we drive over the pass to the southern part of the peninsular and visit Arnastarpi and Hellnar,- We take the opposite route around Snaefellsnes Peninsular returning to photograph Kirkjufell in the evening.

Day 4: Wednesday 11th May 2022
We journey via the ferry north to the Western Fjords crossing between Stykkisholmur and Brjanslaekur. The ferry departs at 0900hrs and take 2½hrs. On arrival we will have time to explore before arriving at our hotel.

Day 5: Thursday 12th May 2022
Today we visit the peninsular to the west of Patrekfjordur along the coast to Haenuvik, Kollsvik and Breidavik before arriving at the spectacular Latrabjarg Sea Cliffs where we hope to photograph puffins and other sea birds. On our return we will visit Raudasandur beach.

Day 6: Friday 13th May 2022
We drive north exploring the western coastline around Bildudalur and Selardalur before visiting the Dynjandi waterfall and continuing north to Hrafnseyri and Pingeyri before we retrace our steps back to our hotel.

Day 7: Saturday 14th May 2022
Today we journey east along the southern coastline to Gufudalur. From here we continue west to join route 608 and turn north to join route 61 for the final part of our journey along the southern shoreline of Islafjordjup.

Day 8: Sunday 15th May 2022
In the morning we drive north exploring the western shoreline of Islafjordjup. Our journey takes us to Hvitanes, Sudavik and Islafjordur before we retrace our steps to our hotel.

Day 9: Monday 16th May 2022
Today we explore some of the smaller roads in the area beginning around Heydalur and Mjoifjordur. We will also follow the eastern coastline through Reykarnes to Melgraseyri and Baeir.

Day 10: Tuesday 17th May 2022
We make a morning departure south to Holmavik on the shore of Steingrimsfjordour, then continue on to Gilfjorgur and towards Borgarnes.

Day 11: Wednesday 18th May 2022
We make a prompt start for the 3-hour drive back to Keflavik Airport to join our flight back to London. We will stop along the way for any photo opportunities we find if time permits.
