Exploring Oregon
Monday 7th - Wednesday 23rd November 2022

Day 1: Monday 7th November 2022
We fly from London Heathrow to Portland, Oregon then transfer to our motel.
Overnight in Portland

Day 2: Tuesday 8th November 2022
We will spend the day around Columbia Gorge with visits to Multnoma Fall and Mount Hood.
Overnight in Madras

Day 3: Wednesday 9th November 2022
Our journey takes us south towards the John Day Fossil Beds and we explore the Painted Hills section before heading to Bend.

Day 4: Thursday 10th November 2022
From Bend we head south through the Volcanic Region and detour around the south side of Crater Lake and then onto Grants Pass.

Day 5: Friday 11th November 2022
We head from Grants Pass crossing the Coast Ranges until we reach the Pacific Coast at Crescent City. In the afternoon we explore the Redwoods National Park.

Day 6: Saturday 12th November 2022
We spend the morning in the Redwoods before following the coast north to Oregon and Gold Beach. This takes us along some of the rugged Pacific coastline.

Day 7: Sunday 13th November 2022
We spend day exploring around the amazing Gold Beach and Pistol River area with its great coastal photography.

Day 8: Monday 14th November 2022
We drive north along the Oregon coast to Bandon. Allowing plenty of time to stop along the way we will arrive in time to capture sunset on the photogenic Bandon Beaches.

Day 9: Tuesday 15th November 2022
We have all day to explore the wild coastline around Bandon and Coos Bay.

Day 10: Wednesday 16th November 2022
We spend a second day exploring the wild coastline around Bandon and Coos Bay.

Day 11: Thursday 17th November 2022
We continue north along the wild Oregon coast photographing the shore, beaches and towns along the way and spending time at Cape Perpetua.
Overnight in Yachats

Day 12: Friday 18th November 2022
We spend the day exploring around Yachats with a morning and evening visit to Cape Perpetua to photograph Thor’s Well and the Devils Churn.

Day 13: Saturday 19th November 2022
We continue north along the wild Oregon coast, photographing the shore, beaches and towns along the way and spending time at Newport and other locations.
Overnight in Lincoln City

Day 14: Sunday 20th November 2022
Our journey continues to Cannon Beach, one of the most exciting photographic locations in Oregon. We will also visit Ecola State Park for the evening light.
Overnight in Seaside

Day 15: Monday 21st November 2022
We make an early start Ecola State Park and then onto Astoria where we follow the south Bank of the Columbia River east to Portland.
Overnight in Portland

Day 16: Tuesday 22nd November 2022
We have an early start as we head to the Airport to join our return flight to London Heathrow.

Day 17: Wednesday 23rd November 2022
We arrive the next morning having lost 7 hours on our return journey.
