Day 1: Sunday 28th June 2026
We fly from London to Keflavik and transfer to our hotel on the Snaefellsnes Peninsular, a distance of 225 kms.

Day 2: Monday 29th June 2026
In the morning we drive west to Kirkjufell allowing time to photograph the waterfalls and the mountains. We then head west to explore around the Snaefellsnes Peninsular returning to photograph Kirkjufell in the evening.

Day 3: Tuesday 30th June 2026
We have the morning exploring Snaefellsnes before joining the ferry north to the Western Fjords, crossing between Stykkisholmur and Brjanslaekur. The ferry departs at 1500hrs and take 2½hrs. On arrival we will have a drive before arriving at our hotel.

Day 4: Wednesday 1st July 2026
Today we visit the peninsular to the west of Patrekfjordur along the coast to Haenuvik, Kollsvik and Breidavik. We then arrive at the spectacular Latrabjarg Sea Cliffs where we hope to photograph puffins and other sea birds. On our return we will visit Raudasandur beach.

Day 5: Thursday 2nd July 2026
Today we join Route 63 to Bildudalur, east along the southern coastline to of Surdufjordur to join Route 60 in the highlands. From here we continue north to Dynjandi, Dyrafjordur and Onundarfjordur before the tunnel to Isafjordur.

Day 6: Friday 3rd July 2026
Today we explore some of the smaller roads in the area beginning around Heydalur and Mjoifjordur. We will also follow the eastern coastline through Reykarnes to Melgraseyri and Baeir and Nupar.

Day 7: Saturday 4th July 2026
We continue our exploration of the Isafjordur area searching along the remote road as well as travelling south to Nupar and other areas.

Day 8: Sunday 5th July 2026
We make a morning departure south towards Laugarbakki following the western shore of Isafjordur.

Day 9: Monday 6th July 2026
Today we journey east following the northern coastline of Iceland via Blondous and Saudarkrokur to Siglufjordur.

Day 10: Tuesday 7th July 2026
We travel south towards Akureyri, exploring Olafsfjordur, Dalvik and Hjalteyri on our journey. From Akureyri we head north to Grenivik before returning south to Godafoss.

Day 11: Wednesday 8th July 2026
We spend the day exploring around Lake Myvatn. Depending on light and time we may also make a visit to Aldeyjarfoss.

Day 12: Thursday 9th July 2026
Today we have a substantial drive as we begin our return journey. We follow Route 1 to Akureyri and from there continue on that road to Vidadalur and Blondous. From Blondous, Route 1 takes us through a remote farming landscape and over the mountains to Borgarnes.

Day 13: Friday 10th July 2026
For our final day we head out to explore around Hvalfjordur with a brief stop in Reykjavik to visit the cathedral before having lunch in the Keflavik. We then head to the airport to join our return flight to London.
