Iceland
– Full Circle 2026
Saturday 3rd to Saturday 17th October 2026
Tour Cost £3,850 (Plus flights) (TBC)

Iceland is home
to many breathtaking locations that offer real excitement to the
photographer. After a number of successful tours we are now offering
our third tour that takes us right around Iceland, exploring lots
of the more remote areas on the eastern and northern side of this
unique island.

We will take
an anticlockwise route following Highway 1 in the main as it circumnavigates
Iceland. We will of course be making many detours on the way to
visit more remote and exciting locations. The first part of our
tour takes us along the popular southern coast of Iceland and we
will take in many of the highlights along this part of the country.
Visiting the grand waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss as
well a many lesser-known falls. A visit to the Black Beach at Vik
with its powerful seas and jutting rocks. A visit to the magical
Jokulsarlon Lagoon and Diamond Beach with its glistening icebergs
offers great photography. As we reach the eastern extent of Highway
1 we will visit Hofn and Stokksnes where we spend time photographing
this dramatic area, which includes the majestic Vesturhorn.

From Hofn our
journey swings north along the eastern side of Iceland, a more remote
and less visited part of the Island. This will take us through Hvalnes,
Djupivogur and Fasksrudfjordur. As the journey continues north we
will pass the shores of Reydarfjordur with detours to Eskifjordur
and Seydisfjordur before reaching Egilsstadir. Along this section
we visit remote harbours and villages as well as taking detours
into the interior to capture the wild mountain landscape and exciting
waterfalls. Egilsstadir will be our base for two nights as we explore
the remote northeast region of Iceland with visits to Lagarfljot,
Njardvíkurskridur and Bakkagerdi before heading east to Seydisfjordur.

From here we
turn west across the northern part of Iceland to Lake Myvatn through
the mountainous interior. Our route takes us through Gausstaddir,
Vididalur and Hrossaborg before arriving at Lake Myvatn where we
spend two nights. On this leg of the journey we will explore the
amazing Studlagil Canyon with its towering basalt cliffs. While
at Lake Myvatn we will explore around the lake, visit the thermal
basins to the east. We will also visit Godafoss and, if the weather
conditions are favourable, head into the northern highland to see
the remarkable Aldeyjarfoss where the Skalfandafljot River tumbles
over the basalt column into the pool below.

Our journey
continues north to Akureyri and we then follow the western shore
of Eyjarfjordur to Dalvik and Siglufjordur. Siglufjordur is one
of the most northerly towns in Iceland and is linked to the coast
road via a series of long road tunnels. From here we hug the northern
coast as we journey to Saudarkrokur and then across country to Blonduos,
detouring for a visit to the town of Holar. From Blondous we cross
Vidadalur and onto Snaefellsnes for a two-night stop that allows
us to explore this magnificent region of Iceland. With its mountainous
interior, variety of breathtaking water falls, quaint towns, harbours
and unusual churches it is one of the best photographic areas in
Iceland.

We then head
south to Borgarnes for our final nights stop. On the final day we
return to Keflavik for our return flight to London. We will have
time detour to photograph the imperious Reykjavik Cathedral. We
then continue on to Keflavik to join our afternoon flight.
